I am however a die hard PC gamer and so I was looking forward to this title coming out for the PC. I bought "The Force Unleashed" for the PC as I used to own this game on the Xbox 360. So unless you plan to buy the x360 controller, plan to only be able to get about halfway through this game. They clearly got some hefty kickback from Microsoft to only allow that controller to be used. Funny how as time goes on, and computers should be working more and more smoothly for us, we are actually given less and less options. That, in itself, is annoying as OLDER Lucas Arts games allowed you to train the game to ANY kind of controller you could hook to your computer. They really seem to be trying to lean on you to get that XBOX 360 Controller which is the only game controller you can use with the game. I've read of similar problems with a mouse, unless you can run it across a bed or something at least four feet or so. If you have a laptop with mouse area like me, you can't get enough continuous motion on it to do what you have to do to pass this part of the game. One major downfall of the PC port is the part where you take on the Star Destroyer. Great idea making the use of (especially) the dark side of the force be the main point of the game. If you already played the regular version on the consoles, there's probably not much to bring you back fro a go on the PC. Overall, The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition doesn't disappoint. Of note, this game works perfectly with my 360 wireless controller, I did not play with keyboard and mouse. I have not yet played the 3 "Bonus" levels, which pit you against the like s of Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker on Tatooine and Hoth repectively, but I can only imagine they'll add to my overall satisfaction, once I get to them. Unleashing the force on hapless stormtroopers and other foes is extremely rewarding and fun. Gameplay: "Boss" battles with Jedi and Rancors are fun, but not overly difficult (Quick Time finishing moves are easy but cool to watch). Story: A strongly driven narrative puts you in the role of a young man, apprentice to Lord Vader, who struggles with his evil actions, yet slaughters all in his path both Rebel and Imperial forces. Somewhat taxing to a mid-range PC, make sure you have met the recommended PC requirements, even if you do, you may have to turn the resolution down (there are no advanced graphics options). Graphics: Excellent, amazing backdrops make this game feel like an actual set from the Star Wars films. Players visit Coruscant for another mission, head to Tatooine to square off against Obi-Wan Kenobi, and face Luke Skywalker himself in a final confrontation on Hoth.Īn interesting story arc that explores the dark side. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition brings the title to PCs for the first time, and includes three new levels detailing an alternate storyline in which the apprentice kills Darth Vader and takes his place during several key moments from the films.

The Sith Lord's apprentice faces several deadly foes throughout his mission, including Maris Brood, a Zabrak warrior bent on revenge, and the primary target: grizzled General Rahm Kota, who learned the ways of the Force under the tutelage of Mace Windu and Yoda. Accompanying the lead character at various points is a prototype "holodroid" called Proxy as well as a blond Imperial pilot named Juno Eclipse. The action is viewed from a third-person perspective with the apprentice holding his red lightsaber pointed upward behind his back. Each features groups of enemies that must be eliminated in stylish fashion, with Force power combos earning players experience points to customize their character. Featured locales include a TIE Fighter construction facility, the Wookiee home of Kashyyyk, a junkyard-like realm known as Raxus Prime, and a fungus-infested planet called Felucia. The protagonist will travel to various worlds in his relentless search for the few remaining Jedi who escaped Order 66. Lightning crackles from fingertips, lightsabers twirl in the air, and entire spaceships move with the mind. Objects of varying sizes and strengths can also be manipulated, acting as mere toys for the evil Jedi to use in his nefarious deeds. Mastery of the Force allows the protagonist to lift writhing bodies into the air, letting them dangle powerlessly, before pushing them at high speeds into the background.

You are none other than Darth Vader's secret apprentice, engaging in covert missions to defeat those with designs on dismantling the Imperial regime. The storyline takes place between films Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with the Galactic Empire nearing the peak of its far-reaching power.
